What does blepharoplasty correct?
Over time, eyelid skin loses firmness and periorbital fat becomes more visible. Blepharoplasty removes or repositions excess skin and fat to restore a rested gaze. When upper-lid drooping reduces the visual field, the procedure can also have a functional component.
Technique
Incisions are hidden in the natural upper-lid crease or inside/just below the lashes on the lower lid, so scars are very discreet. It is often performed under local anesthesia with sedation.
